Savleen Basran is the creator and lead artist of Empress Studios.

Beauty has been a passion of Savleen’s for as long as she can remember. To pursue her passion further, she enrolled in the Global Makeup Program at Blanche MacDonald. While she was completing the program, she began working at Sephora, one of the world’s largest beauty destinations

During her two years at Sephora, Savleen had the opportunity to receive training and education from artists and brand representatives. Some of those brands include NARS Cosmetics, Make Up For Ever, Laura Mercier, Smashbox, Yves St Laurent, Dior, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Shu Uemura, and many more.

Savleen is committed to creating flawless canvases and perfecting her signature look, a radiant, soft-glam aesthetic inspired by red-carpet celebrities. Her looks are both mesmerizing and unforgettable. Savleen’s visionary point of view as an artist is revered among peers and clients alike.

With a passion for makeup and beauty that started when she was just a young girl, Savleen began educating herself through YouTube tutorials and self-practice by the time she was a teenager. As an artist, you can never stop educating yourself. She dedicates her time to practicing popular techniques, using a creative approach with new trends and products in the industry to consistently elevate her craft. Savleen’s attention to detail and passion for artistry drives her pursuit of continuing education and inspires her unwavering commitment to discover and enhance the unique features of every one of her clients.

In 2020, Savleen was accepted into The MasterCourse in Miami, where she would have received hands-on training, mentorship, and certification from renowned Celebrity Makeup Artist, Mario Dedivanovic.

Savleen recently went to Los Angeles, to receive hands-on training, and mentorship by Celebrity Makeup Artist, Olivia Madorma who is known for her soft glam looks accentuated with glowing skin. Olivia trained and assisted Celebrity Makeup Artist and brand owner, Patrick Ta for many years.

While in Los Angeles, Savleen received hands-on training and certification from Rob Sargsyan (Faces By Rob), who has gained international success from his signature “rob-glow”. He is sought after by brides, celebrities, and socialites alike.
